I took the advice I got from last episode and tried to do 2 books this episode, boosted it up to 20 minutes, from 15. But next weeks number one list was pretty lengthy, so that didn’t exactly help.
I also try to be a little less snarky and focus on what I like about the books a bit more. I still feel bad about my Olivia Munn rant from the last Comics Radar Episode.![]()

I really really loved SHIELD. I can’t believe it’s June before the next issue! Anyway, time to listen to the show!
Done listening and I like it. I might not agree with your thoughts on SHIELD as I am the biggest Hickman fan I know. But I can see where your coming from. Oh, and lets not forget his best book yet, Pax Rommana, it needs a plug!
I love Hickman’s stuff too, but it can be a bit heady for some people and this just wasn’t as strong as a first issue as he had on Nightly News, Transhuman, or Fantastic Four.
I haven’t read Pax Romana, but I’ll check it out when I get a chance.
Dude, it’s his absolute best work. Go get it next time you are at the store, I can’t recommend it enough.
John – I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Great job. I’m really bummed that I had to have my copy of Shield #1 reordered today…. Still haven’t gotten my paws on it.
Loved the choice of rating categories.
Nightly News bored the $hit outta be. I read the first two issues and brought both of them back to the shop.
I very much enjoyed SHIELD #1. And waiting till June will is such BS.
But whatever, it’s worth the wait.
Me and the guys at might shop were saying the same thing. Why June? Is this a quarterly book from the offset?
