Actually because I watch a bit too much tv and I want to blog about something. I never watch these stupid award shows, but I love to speculate and I do read the winners list afterwards.
My picks are in Bright Green for the ones have an opinion on. (Categories that separate down to the episode, I lumped together.)
BEST VARIETY, MUSIC, OR COMEDY SERIES
“The Colbert Report” (Comedy Central)
“The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” (Comedy Central) – WINNER
“Real Time With Bill Maher” (HBO)
“Saturday Night Live” (NBC)
“The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” (NBC)
I actually think The Daily Show had a stronger year, but I really hope it goes to Conan. He got shafted big time.

“Breaking Bad” (AMC)
“Dexter” (Showtime)
“The Good Wife” (CBS)
“Lost” (ABC)
“Mad Men” (AMC) – WINNER

“Glee” (FOX)

BEST REALITY-COMPETITION PROGRAM
“The Amazing Race” (CBS)
“American Idol” (FOX)
“Dancing With the Stars” (ABC)
“Project Runway” (Lifetime)

Again, most of the big names are leaving. They’ll give it a charity Emmy before it’s cancelled after next season.
BEST MINISERIES
“The Pacific” (HBO) – WINNER

This was billed as the next Band of Brothers. It will get a pile of awards too.

BEST WRITING FOR A COMEDY SERIES
“Glee” (FOX)
“Modern Family” (ABC) – WINNER

I really don’t expect Modern Family to win, but it really should. It is able to pack so much in a half hour. I thought I was done with sitcoms. This one gives me hope.

What? I love the 1960s haircuts; so sharp.
6/22 That actually makes me kind of happy. I don’t watch nearly as much TV as I did. I really underestimated Modern Family. I’m glad to see it won so many though.
Did anyone actually watch it? Were there any good bits? I saw the Glee opening, gave a half hearted laugh, once, and promptly gave up on it.

Hey, you got some right.
I did awful.
