Warner Brothers is all set to steam ahead and get Watchmen out there for our (hopefully) visual enjoyment. But Now Fox is seeking an injunction to delay the Mar 6, 2009 release date.
I know there’s really not much I can do but piss and moan. I really can’t boycott them any more than I do. I rarely go to the movies, uness I get free passes. I don’t watch Fox, FX, or Fox News except House and Fringe. And I’ll have to watch Dollhouse for the entire half a season they’ll let it survive.
So, all I can do is say please Fox, don’t screw over the fans this time. You’ve killed many series we’ve loved well before their time, usually on purpose. There’s only so many times you can kick a dog. And right now you’re playing with one nice, big, beautiful, juicy steak. We already know you have zero respect for fans.
We’re tired of being kicked. We’ve constantly tried to like you. Every fall and spring we give you a new chance. I don’t even care who’s right or wrong on this case. (Even though a certain judge said it was too difficult to make a decision less than 48 hours before making a decision in Fox’s favour.)
I just want to see this movie.
I don’t want to start an online petition or start mail bombing you with hot sauce or M&Ms. I don’t want to see any of that, I just want to see the movie in all of its imperfect glory. Carry on your case, collect your check, pass go, collect your $200.
Just, this once, don’t let down the fanboys.
