I apologize that this is a day late but, if you haven’t figured out by now, Wednesday’s are my real heavy days with 2 classes and my full time job, so don’t expect updates on Wednesdays. There are plenty of other great comic blogs and podcasts you can check out on Wednesdays.
AMAZE INK/SLAVE LABOR GRAPHICS
Johnny The Homicidal Maniac #1 (New Printing), $2.95
Johnny The Homicidal Maniac #2 (New Printing), $2.95
Okay, I’m not actually picking up Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, but you should be. I just talked with Dan Vado earlier this week and if you’ve never checked out anything published by SLG, this is the week to do it.
BLUEWATER PRODUCTIONS
Insane Jane #1 (of 4)(Bluewater Puzzle Cover), $3.99
Insane Jane Preview
I’m really not sure if I’m picking up this book or not. Even looking at the preview pages, I’m not sure. It’s really going to come down to the moment I’m at the register. I’m not sure what’s not quite clicking for me, but it does look intriguing, so I put it on the list.

Dark Delicacies Preview Pages
Normally, I wouldn’t pick up Dark Delicacies. If you know anything about me from the podcast, it’s that I’m not really a fan of horror books. But I’m a huge fan of anthologies, so I’ll give it a try.

3 Geeks Slab Madness #1 (of 3), $2.99
3 Geeks: Slab Madness Preview
Again, CBR gets the cool preview pages.
I still remember the first time I read a 3 Geeks book. I had repeatedly read about 3 geeks from the various comic book magazines but never actually found a copy. Then I went to WizardWorld Chicago and the wife and I stopped in the gaming area to eat our bag lunch. And sitting at the table next to us was a pack of three 3geeks comics and piece of paper wrapped around the books inside the plastic that said FREE. I don’t know if Rich Koslowski had left it there. There was only one package. or if someone else had, but those books were fun. And I love fun comics. And this attacks one of my least favorite things in comics, Slabbed Books. A must read for a comic nerd like me.

Ruins was perhaps the most depressing thing I have read in comics in the last 12 months. Great art when it didn’t get too muddled but that story was misery.
I was so happy that Ruins was re-released. Awesome and so bleak!
