After a futile battle between my secondary computer and talkshoe, we unfortunately had to give up on trying for a live episode in March.
But Ben from the Dork In Your Eye podcast stayed up until 2 or 3 or 4 in the morning (I’m terrible at timezones) to talk with us. So, Ben joined Matt and I to talk about the Watchmen film.
I kept it short, only 40 mins.
Towards the end, I mention a horrible right wing screed by Debbie Schlussel.
Here’s the first couple sentences:
If you take your kids to see “Watchmen,” you’re a moron.
If you see it yourself, you’re also probably a moron and a vapid, indecent human being.
To be fair, I agree with the first sentence. It goes downhill from there. And the comic fan response? not much better, to be honest.
