Super Human Resources #3 (of 4), $3.50
One of the only books on the stands today that actually makes me laugh out loud. But while It’s packed full of humour, it’s still a little light on plot. Ken Marcus has some strong characterization for a freshman writer and I like the offbeat cartoon style so I’ll finish it out.
BOOM! STUDIOS
Farscape #4 (Cover A Joe Corroney), $3.99
Irredeemable #1, $3.99

Irredeemable starts off pulling no punches as our main character, the Plutonian, fries the family of another superhero. Seeing the preview pages, I thought their would be some frame of reference. But nope, it’s just as brutal as it looks and the rest of the issue has two more horrible jaw dropping moments that I don’t want to spoil here. But if you’re looking for a brutal look at “Superman vs. the JLA” check this one out.
DARK HORSE
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #24 (Season 8)(Jo Chen Regular Cover), $2.99
DC COMICS
Flash Rebirth #1 (of 5)(Ethan Van Sciver Regular Cover), $3.99

I’ve never particularly been a Flash fan, but this issue gives Barry Allen’s view of everything and everyone’s view of Barry Allen. A pitch perfect intro to Barry and an ending that will resonate with whichever flavour of Flash is your favorite.
IMAGE COMICS
Killer Of Demons #2 (of 3), $3.99
Noble Causes #40 (Final Issue), $3.50
Savage Dragon #146, $3.50
Killer of Demons plays much more strongly with the “Is he crazy or not” line. More great art and great story. And Savage Dragon feels like going back to see and old friend. I read the book from the miniseries to issue ~20 before dropping for budget reasons. So it’s great to come back. The new story feels like a continution of what was happening in those early issues, but a mjaor reset button was hit in 145 so you should be able to jump back in no problem.
MARVEL COMICS
Astonishing Tales #3, $3.99
Deadpool #9, $2.99
Destroyer #1 (of 5), $3.99
Invincible Iron Man #12, $2.99
