Warren Ellis linked to a statement that Bit Pass is closing down. That’s a little upsetting, Bit Pass was one of those good ideas with no great way of implementing it. It was basically the idea behind itunes before itunes. Instead of someone paying $10 for a subscription to a website. You would have say $10 in an account and make micropayments, maybe a quarter here and a dime there. And Bit Pass while it had the good idea of centralizing, that still defeated the purpose by putting all your money in a centralized area.
