Iron Man: Steve Rogers
January 23rd, 2007Possible Civil War Speculative Spoiler:

I have to mention it. It’s already all over the place. And it was up on amazon, but has since been removed. I don’t believe it. 1. It looks like a poorly photoshopped image, though my opinion of Silvestri’s art may bias that a bit. But it would be no problem to delete the shield and recolor it to a more traditional color.
What the amazon page claimed, through a fan review was that the Steve Rogers we know and have loved for the past 40 years of so was actually a clone made by Tony Stark to lead the Avengers and TOLD he was frozen in ice for 20 years. You know, the more I think about it, it is semi-plausible, especially with the way Tony Stark has been portrayed over the last 3 years or so; cold, scheming, and manipulative. But I really don’t think it will play out that way.
“Clor” (I hate that name by the way) was bad enough, I don’t want to see another Clone story spin-off, Maximum Cloneage 2, anybody?
I am beginning to strongly think that Captain America’s life is at risk in the Civil War, though. And I’m not sure how I feel about that.
But please, No Iron American.
