Veronica Mars Comics?
June 16th, 2007That’s what Rob Thomas is saying in a recent interview with E! Online:
As for Veronica Mars, Thomas tells me: “I think the best odds for seeing the continuation of the Veronica Mars story is in comic-book form. I had a meeting with DC Comics last week. They want to do the series. I want to do the series. It’s just a matter of making a deal and figuring out when I have the time to write it. And perhaps a feature screenplay will follow.”
I kind of wish it was going somewhere other than DC, since I haven’t enjoyed DCs other translated media projects recently. (Supernatural, Smallville, Freddy, and Jason). But as a person that just became a fan after picking up the DVD set, I can’t wait to see more.
I wonder what other cancelled TV series could continue as comic books? Drive? Studio 60? Jericho?

I think that Drive would make a pretty good comic book. Studio 60 would be a bit of a train wreck and Jericho would be interesting to say the least.
A show that was also short-lived from last season was called Kidnapped and even though the first story was completed, I think that the further adventures of those characters would be great.
