OR: The episode that took all friggin’ day.

I know it’s a bit longer than usual, but this is an interview and my feeling on interviews is to give the creator, in this case Neil Kleid, as much time as possible, so you can catch his personality and why his work is cool. Hope you guys don’t mind.

Check out this Bad ass Jersey, looks like a real NFL jersey, doesn’t it? But it’s not; it’s a GFL Jersey, the Galactic Football League. And the Team is the Krakens that, team that Quentin Barnes plays for in the awesome Podcast Novel The Rookie by Scott Sigler. It’s an awesome story that, if you’re not listening to already, You should be. I’m not really a big fan of football, but this story of a Cocky jerk from the Purist Nation Football League (Purist Nation could be equated to the deep south during the segregation years) moving up to the Big Leagues and trying to become the greatest QB ever just has me so enthralled, I can’t wait for the next episode. Listened to all 15 episodes and bonuses in 4 days. (would’ve been three but I didn’t have them moved to my mp3 player yet.) And look at that Jersey, doesn’t that look so bad ass? I want one If anybody wants to buy me one, or just check out the other bad ass Krakens gear, go take a look.
I think I’ll have to settle for a magnet to put on the car until tax return time.
Possible Civil War Speculative Spoiler:

I have to mention it. It’s already all over the place. And it was up on amazon, but has since been removed. I don’t believe it. 1. It looks like a poorly photoshopped image, though my opinion of Silvestri’s art may bias that a bit. But it would be no problem to delete the shield and recolor it to a more traditional color.
What the amazon page claimed, through a fan review was that the Steve Rogers we know and have loved for the past 40 years of so was actually a clone made by Tony Stark to lead the Avengers and TOLD he was frozen in ice for 20 years. You know, the more I think about it, it is semi-plausible, especially with the way Tony Stark has been portrayed over the last 3 years or so; cold, scheming, and manipulative. But I really don’t think it will play out that way.
“Clor” (I hate that name by the way) was bad enough, I don’t want to see another Clone story spin-off, Maximum Cloneage 2, anybody?
I am beginning to strongly think that Captain America’s life is at risk in the Civil War, though. And I’m not sure how I feel about that.
But please, No Iron American.
Is that a little surfer we see? Was someone at the CGI studio having a little too much fun? Was that Sensor suit a little too tight? Or just a trick of the eye? This picture has it fairly well standing out, but if you watch the trailer, it’s not quite that well defined, but a definite something that moves away from the leg, but doesn’t appear in other scenes.
Warren Ellis linked to a statement that Bit Pass is closing down. That’s a little upsetting, Bit Pass was one of those good ideas with no great way of implementing it. It was basically the idea behind itunes before itunes. Instead of someone paying $10 for a subscription to a website. You would have say $10 in an account and make micropayments, maybe a quarter here and a dime there. And Bit Pass while it had the good idea of centralizing, that still defeated the purpose by putting all your money in a centralized area.
I can’t wait to see what comes next. maybe using my Lindens on a website?

I’ve mentioned before I have an unhealthy obsession with Transformers, mostly Optimus prime, and can I just say I’m jazzed by these Leaked Prototype images. Even Megatron looks fairly badass this way.
This is the first chapter of Tee Morris‘ new upcoming podiobook, Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword. I picked it up at Dragon*Con last September, and now it will be released as a free Podiobook come Feb. 14. Check it out. Let me know if you want to see more of this kind of thing.
